The Bureau Marocain du Droit d’Auteur (BMDA) is Morocco’s national copyright body, based in Rabat and created by decree in 1965. It manages copyright and neighbouring rights on behalf of Moroccan authors, composers and publishers.
It licenses the public use and reproduction of protected works, collects royalties and distributes them to rights holders, and has been extending its remit through dedicated digital and reprographic-rights platforms.
