The fifth reading (22 October 2026) was computed today by rerunning this desk's market-share collector (wp afw-data market-share) against the current Spotify daily Top 200 for South Africa and the current MusicBrainz-resolved roster. There is a 45-day collection gap between 7 September and 22 October during which this desk did not take a dated reading of this specific market, so the path between those two points is not observed; only the two endpoints are. change_pts_vs_prev is each reading's share minus the immediately preceding reading in this table. change_pts_vs_first and change_pct_vs_first are each reading compared against the 17 August baseline. non_african_share_pct is 100 minus african_share_pct, the share of each day's streams on South Africa's own chart that went to non-African artists.
