Five snapshots survive from this desk's own collection history: 2026-08-13, 2026-08-17, 2026-08-20, 2026-08-21 and 2026-08-22 (2026-08-16, 2026-08-18 and 2026-08-19 were not run and are gaps, not zeros). For each date, and separately for each of the four markets Spotify publishes a daily chart for in Africa (Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa), every entry on that market's Top 200 was summed, and the portion credited to lead artists whose MusicBrainz-registered country is on the African continent divided by the market total. This is the same calculation this desk's spotify-african-share-by-market dataset performs, replayed across every retained date instead of only the latest one, with the current roster (afw_data_roster, applied as it stands today) used for every date so a later origin correction moves the whole series rather than only future points. za_african_streams, za_chart_streams and za_african_artists are South Africa's underlying counts for the same calculation.
