On 5 September 2026 the roster held 4,908 distinct charting artists; 61 had no country of origin the resolver could place, 1.2 per cent of the roster. On 15 September 2026, before this run's corrections, the roster had grown to 5,386 artists and the unresolved count had grown to 1,912, 35.5 per cent of the roster, while the number resolved to an African country of origin stood at 129. That growth in the unresolved share far outpaces growth in the roster itself: the roster grew 9.7 per cent in ten days while the unresolved count grew more than 31-fold, because build_roster() only attempts a limited batch of new artist IDs per refresh and a name that MusicBrainz cannot match on the first attempt is written to the roster as unresolved rather than left pending. This run then applied eight named editorial overrides with published evidence, detailed in roster-corrections-15-september-2026, moving the 15 September unresolved count to 1,904 (35.4 per cent of the roster) and the African-origin count to 136.
