Every artist's daily_streams figure was summed by country of origin, then multiplied by $0.003, the Spotify 2024 row of this desk's duetti-per-stream-rates-2024 dataset (Duetti's published global payout-rate estimate of $3.00 per 1,000 streams; Spotify itself disputes that any fixed per-stream rate exists and told TechCrunch in March 2025 that the methodology was 'ridiculous and unfounded', on the grounds that it pools revenue and pays pro rata to a rightsholder's share of total streams). share_pct is each country's gross_usd as a percentage of the panel's total gross_usd that day; because the same rate is applied to every row, this share is identical to each country's share of raw streams. One roster correction was applied before this table was built: Seyi Vibez's Spotify ID carried a MusicBrainz origin conflict between Ghana and Nigeria, resolved to Nigeria against his Wikipedia biography (born Ketu, Lagos State; Yoruba; raised in Ikorodu, Lagos State). This table prices chart streams, a sample of plays inside each market's published daily Top 200 on one collection date, not total consumption, and not any artist's actual royalty statement. It covers only the five countries with a charting African-origin artist that day, not all African markets, and Spotify publishes a daily chart for only four African countries in the first place, so most African markets contribute nothing to this table by construction, not because no African artist is popular there.","unit":"usd","license":"Afrobeats Wire's compilation and analysis are licensed CC BY 4.0.
