Row two adds only the seven unplaced artists this desk could document as Egyptian from a published biographical source, and adds them on both dates so the comparison is like for like. Row three counts every unplaced artist as Egyptian, which is certainly wrong because at least one of them is documented Lebanese, and is included only as an upper bound. No artist is moved between buckets on one date and not the other. This desk's Spotify chart collector retains dated snapshots of the daily Top 200 as published by kworb.net for every market on its panel. Egypt is one of four African countries Spotify publishes a daily chart for. The snapshots on disk at the time of this build are 2026-08-13, 2026-08-17, 2026-08-20, 2026-08-21, 2026-08-22, 2026-08-24, 2026-08-25, 2026-08-27, 2026-08-28, 2026-08-30, 2026-08-31, 2026-09-01, 2026-09-02, 2026-09-04, 2026-09-06, 2026-09-07, 2026-09-12, 2026-09-13; gaps between listed dates are collection gaps, not zeros, and the intervals are uneven. On 2026-08-28 the upstream source served a chart identical in every position, track and stream count to 2026-08-27 for 44 of 76 markets, Egypt among them, and that date is retained and disclosed rather than dropped. Country of origin is taken from this desk's roster, which resolves each charting artist against the MusicBrainz registry, preferring the artist MusicBrainz links to that exact Spotify profile and falling back to a name search where no link exists. Origin as currently registered is applied to every date, so a later correction moves the whole comparison rather than only future points.
