The one date each window does not share is 21 August (only in the older window) and 20 September (only in the newer one). Any artist whose dates_present figure differs between the two datasets changed status on exactly one of those two non-overlapping dates. A rise of 1 means the artist was absent on 21 August and present on 20 September; a fall of 1 means the reverse.
