Every chart entry was credited in full to its lead artist, the lead artist's country of origin taken from MusicBrainz where a Spotify artist URL is linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and set editorially with named evidence where it was not. Rows are every artist of African origin with one or more streams on a chart outside the four African markets Spotify publishes a chart for, Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco and South Africa. export_streams is that artist's total across non-African charts only; their streams on the four African charts are excluded. The twelve rows sum to 443,922, which reconciles exactly with the six non-African markets carrying any African artist in this desk's spotify-african-share-by-market dataset for the same date. share_of_export_pct is each artist's share of that 443,922 and cumulative_share_pct is the running total, both to one decimal place. status compares membership only against this desk's african-export-footprint dataset for 13 August 2026: totals in that earlier dataset are not comparable to these, because origin classifications have since been corrected and the corrections were not backdated into it, so only the presence or absence of a name is carried across. This counts chart presence, not consumption: an artist with a large audience in a market who does not reach that market's Top 200 records zero here.","unit":"streams","license":"Afrobeats Wire's compilation and analysis are licensed CC BY 4.0.
